    Hello folks

Told you i would be back soon. We're just about to pour the slab. the perimiter insulation is kingspan tf70, 25mm. All the drawings show that we should cut the insulation flush with the concrete. Would this not leave the insulation showing at the end of pouring. And would this not leave a channel for water to sit, should we have a leak.

Any advice would be very welcome

The aim of the perimeter strip is to provide a min 225mm over lap between wall & floor insulaiton to provide a 'Robust detail'

Once you've the walls renders/platered out and skirting on it will be covered. Kinspan is closed cell - won't take up a lot of water (It'll be sitting in a bucket of it anyway whilst the concrete dries out)

I take it that the concrete you refer to is the floor slab and if the insulation is cut at the top of the slab it will be covered when your screed goes down. You wont need skirtings to cover it.

If you achieve the 225 overlap with the wall insulation - then stop it at top of slab - if not continue up the screed
