Find election candidates on Bebo easily

We've just launched a site which lets you easily find out which election candidates are on Bebo.
    Election.bigulo.com

Its an interactive google map, so click on your constituency, and up pops a list of declared candidates in your area. Then click on their name to find their Bebo profile. We wanted to see which candidates are intune with the Bebo generation and have profiles, and given the popularity of the Rockthevote campaign to get young people to vote we figured this would be of some help.

Unsurprisingly very few election candidates have pages on bebo. Its shocking really when you consider that the vast majority of 16-25 year olds have bebo pages and spend hours per day on it. You'd think they would try and market directly at young voters on this new medium, especially since young voters have historically stayed away from the polls on election day. But of course when you look at the current crop of TDs, who are mostly old (all Labour TDs are over 50), its not surprising that they are totally out of tune with young voters.

Let us know what you think.

As someone in college I can assure you that there is little more annoying then being canvassed by bebo. I'm not surprised that so few use it.

Great idea, however in Wicklow you have Joe Jacob as a candidate, this is incorrect as whilst he is a sitting TD, he is not seeking reelection

Half the TDs pages that appear are slags of the TDs, not actual pages run by the TDs.

You also have Eoin Ryan in DSE. He is not running again.

Great job, but Evelyn Cawley does not appear on the Wicklow ballot for some reason? She is 5/2 to take a seat !

Dominic Hannigan (Lab, Meath East) has a page on bebo but it hasn't been added to the bigulo database as yet.
    He's on http://dominichannigan.bebo.com/

Senator John Paul Phelan spammed my bebo page a few weeks back, and when I replied to his comment it was deleted from his page
