    Hi Guys

Advice and confirmation needed before i buy an external dvd writer for my dell PC.

My thinking is i can burn 2 dvds at same time, one from each drive, internal and external, is that correct or

Can i burn to one and watch a dvd on another?

I am pretty sure software on pc can be used to burn dvds on new burner and all i will need to do is install burner software ie drivers etc.

Anybody with experience of this, advice would be welcome.

You can definitely do this. I've never had two burners on one machine, but there shouldn't be a problem burning 2 things at once.

Burning does use up a lot of resources, depending on your processor speed and the amount of RAM you have, you would see a fair slow down in your machine while burning. This could cause very jumpy playback on the second drive.
