Mod for BF2 Daz, will be around an 800mb download. If the mod team have lavished the same care to this mod that the original DC team did then it will be cracking.

OK this is now released. Server password is "sandstorm" however if server is full you may be removed for tig clan member.

Played it a bit there, very good so far. Guns are nice an accurate and they actually shoot where you aim! Although I think the assault class might be a bit overpowered. Remakes of the maps I've seen are excellent as well. Only played one original map but it seemed decent.

Didnt play much last night but had a look at the domination mode and its pretty good.

Installing now,pinging the TiG server now as im installing and pings are fluctuating a lot.
Is the mod laggy guys?

Hmmm just had 5 min game then the mod crashed,anyone else having crashes?

I didnt notice any lag for that 5 mins however.

Apperently alot of people are experiecing high lag (me included). Theres a patch inc to deal with this afaik.

There is a problem with some of the static models causing lag on some peoples machines. It tends to happen on El alamein and Desert shield. The mod runs fine for me but I do notice my computer runs a bit slow for about 2 minutes after I quit this game.

I think this might effect some servers aswell, because some peoples lag problems change from server to server.

There is a patch in the works but its probably gonna be awhile before we see it.

Sometimes feels laggy for me but on the main its pretty good and imo class for a first release.

Gonna do some Domination or CTF tonight on the tig server if peeps are interested.

Been playing some more and i like it.
It feels very very close to DC to me so far which is what id hoped for.
Im experiencing no lag at all.
On the whole however im experiencing mostly heavy armour battles and very little infantry which is a shame.
I suspect this could be down to the maps ive played so far.

Any idea where i can get this patch? Was playing last night and it was fine, was playing today and it was awful! Getting about 4 fps in places, whereas i get over 100fps in source engine games.

Installed this mod.....and I have never wanted my Broadband Connection back so much ......I missed BF1942 DC mod and BFV but i was doing fine with with out Broadband untill I installed this.Everything looks good and the Impact from a Scud is Unreal. Roll on June and my new house

first time i've gone back to the BF2 engine in a while, i forgot how much i hate bunny hopping in Bf2. anyway the server i was on was lost village only, with the 2nd round being no parachutes, it was interesting to say the least.

I've installed 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 but I can't see any servers online (not too worried) nor can I see any maps listed for an instant battle.

What am I missing?

You just need to install the latest pack.

Are you using the DC icon on the desktop to run the game?

Can you connect to these servers? The DC exe is "DCon_v0.1a.exe" so I don't know what versions you're talking about.

So far I've found DC hugely disappointing. As a mod it doesn't bring anything new to the game, unlike POE or EOD.

Its DCON, and yeah theres some models that are still the same but the gameplay is totally different.

I have the following:
DCon_v0.1a.exe 676MiB
DCon_CTF_V0.2.exe 94.4MiB
DCon_CTF_V0.3_Patch.exe 409KiB
dcon_ctf_v0.3_server_patch.zip 62.7MiB
I've uninstalled DCon and am going to try 0.1a on it's own.

I don't know where / how the DCon CTF installers fit into the framework.

Anything with ctf in its name was a seperate minimod Syxpak, you dont need them as ctf comes with the 1.0a installer.

I installed 0.1a there, it said it needed to uninstall the existing dcon, I clicked yes, let it do its thing, and then fired it up via the desktop shortcut ("D:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +modPath mods/dcon)
Logged in via online account, no servers, no maps visible for instant battle, same with offline account.
Will try scrubbing the dir and clean install later.
Reading the launch thread for possible clues at the moment.

What happens when you try to connect to a server manually by entering the IP address?

Delete the "dcon" mods folder in BF2's dir. Reinstall and you should be good.

Instant battles don't show up, but if I go to create a Lan server, everything's gravy.
Still can't see servers in in-game browser, tried connecting to direct IP of one last night from Ponster's link, didn't connect.

Is the TiG server still up?
