ok guys this may seem trivial but;-

I am a chronic snorer, like seriously horrific. i'm not sure why - I'm thin, I do smoke though, worse with alcohol but even generally its bad.

Now this is a major turn off for a lot of guys right? I've just started seeing someone but have yet to stay the full night. What are guys opinions on female snorers? Would you put up with if you liked the girl or is it generally a major turn off?

Ok, well I'm a girl, & while it's not a turn off for me, it is very annoying.

My bf is a very bad snorer & I'm a very light sleeper, so when we do get to spend the whole night together, I don't get any sleep, & it's not because both of us are awake & having a good time!!!!

While I love sleeping beside him, I know the novelty will very quickly wear off when it becomes a regular thing.

Have you tried everything there is to prevent snoring?

If you really are as bad as you say, have you ever looked into those operations for snoring etc?

My gf snores a little bit, doesn't bother me in the slightest. It only lasts for about 5-10 mins before she goes into deep sleep. There's lots of remedies out their if you're really worried, or like the previous poster said an operation can sort it. He could be a snorer as well. Might not be as bad as you think.

im a very light sleeper - i normally take at least 30 mins or so to fall asleep. My gf normally falls asleep in about 10 seconds, and by the time 5 minutes have passed she is snoring heavily. It is quite a pain, and it is not possible for me to sleep if she is facing in my direction. i generally have to turn her away from me and point her at the far wall a few times before i get to sleep. i have been with her 4 years now, and i think it is beginning to fade into the background a tiny bit. or maybe im just being optimistic. but anyway, heavy snorers are pretty annoying when you are a light sleeper like me. but nobody is perfect and if your snoring is the most serious personal defect you can think of, well then things arent so bad at all.. got forbid you were a talker, walker or farter..

My bf snores quite a bit and it doesnt bother me at all. At least I know hes still alive ;). At first when I woke during the night itd take me a while to get back to sleep alright but it doesnt bother me at all now , some people actually find it cute.
As said you can get an op to sort it but that seems a bit extreme , like said above he could be a very heavy sleeper or a snorer too or both , but Id defo not look on it as a hugely negative thing :)

my gf snores heavily all the time, living with her over a year now, it does sort of fade into the distance but takes time, like you she's worse with drink etc and sometimes we sleep in separate rooms then.. it can be unbearable then at times but more times than not I don't notice it anymore.. it's all about the sleeping position though, the side is generally best

Mostly, you snore lying on your back. Thus, the cure is to sew a tennisball into the back of a t-shirt. If, when asleep, you lie on your back, you'll lie on the tennisball, and you'll then go on your side. After awhile, you won't lie on your back when you sleep.
