I was disappointed to find that my Sky+ box wasn't updated with it, when I checked at lunch. It's supposed to be in the newer Sky+ boxes that have a second hard drive too, isn't it? I only got it in December.

My HD Box has the Anytime now aswell, there are about 10 programs to choose from 4 of which are movies (3 HD Movies), like Derek says nothing really that appeals to me. the programs cant be deleted from what i can see but there is an "Available Untill" date on every program. :)

Is Sky charging extra for watching this or is it part of the sub? If they are charging for it they can take a running jump....

Part of the subscription. Anytime on TV, Anytime on Mobile or Anytime on PC all the same. Just tried out the Anytime on PC, looks ok, have to wait till I get home to check the HD box situation.

It's not a second harddrive, it's hidden space on the larger hard drives.

So NOT at all on 40, definately on 160. I'm not sure about DIY upgrades or 80G disks.

That'd be the bit I'm interested in... anyone?

The fact that it's free is a nice surprise. The content doesn't seem to be the worst either. Even if Sky raises prices quite often, I do admire how innovative they are -- Sky gnome, interactive services, Sky By Broadband and so on.

They'll get their money back, however -- all that extra trashing of the HDD with the anytime content will probably shorten its lifespan and have many Sky+ users looking for replacements sooner than they would have otherwise. :D

They would be more innovative if they diodn't have an almost monopoly. But that's a discussion for another day.

To delete a program,Highlight programme in Anytime menu, press Record & it transfers it to your planner. Then press yellow delete button. Press Back up & you go back to Anytime service , minus the programme.

However , it will eventually reappear back in the Anytime menu.

You can select genres/program types on "my sky" at sky.com. Anytime tv will use this information to download programs to your box. This is not part of the initial Anytime. This function will work in the Autumn.

Its ok as an optional extra for free. You can turn it off if you do not want to use it in the services menu.

If you turn it off will you get the reserved space back?

Possibly, but you can't use this reserved space. It's "Reserved"... dot dot dot ...

What I meant to say was does it become unreserved?

No it wont. The space will remain reserved.
