Right, for some reason I cant get the Raw function for photoshop to work.
I am running 8.0 photoshop and have uploaded version 3.7 of the Raw plug-in but no joy.
I have placed the plug in in the plugin folder as well.

Any idea's people,i really need to get this sorted asap, I have tried Bibble but didnt think much of it

With me the camera RAW plugin is in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS2\File Formats, is that where you put it?

Em couldnt tll ya,using a Mac. it would be in the C section, with the other plugins..can anyone tell me how they did theres on a Mac?

it's basically the same on the mac.

    it goes in "appllications/photoshop/plug-ins/file formats

I think your problem is that you're using a a newer version of the plug-in then you are of photoshop.

If you're using photoshop cs (8) - I think it will only recognize up to version 2.5 of the camera raw plug-in. I have PS CS and v2.4 of camera raw.

Also, v2.4 of the camera raw plug in will not recognize raw files from newer model cameras. You'll have to convert them to .dng files using Adobes DNG converter (it's free). then open them using the camera raw plug-in through the file browser or whatever.

hope that helps, someone else may offer better advice.....

Shane, try downloading the trial version of Lightroom, it'll be much handier for it (I think)

How are the photos coming on?

Right, when I switch to dng it seems to work anyway, cant say im 2 happy with the quality though.
Think lightroom will be my best bet to keep full control

Odd alright, see what happens with lightroom?

There's LOADS of tutorials online if you get stuck in Lightroom anyways.
