    Come on, girls! Get typing!

I have such a hankering for Clint Eastwood. Not so much now - he's nearly 77 so that would be just wrong. But when he was in his 50s, maybe even 60s, he did it for me.
    Don't laugh! Or puke...

Harrison Ford in his temple of doom days
    or
Sean Connery anytime (except when he was going through his awkward middle aged & going bald phase!)
    or
    Daniel Craig

I met Gordon Ramsey in the flesh, he exudes sex appeal but is devoted to his wife and kids which is lovely, he is also very funny.

Even more so his dad. Henry wasn't conventionally gorgeous but there was something so damn attractive about him - especially as he got older!

By the way, I mean older men - not simply those who are fathers. I'm talking 45 years old at least. Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp - I know they're close to that age bracket, but they're still too young. Exceptionally youthful for their age and they still don't appear to have entered middle age, and that's what I'm talking about. Jamie Oliver and David Boreanaz - far too young.
George Clooney would be about the right starting point.

Cant believe nobody has mentioned Robert Redford! Think barefoot in the park with Jane Fonda... Also Viggo Mortensen, mmmm he has a son I believe. Also something vaguely sexy about Al Pacino and oh my god ladies, did yee forget all about Clive Owen, Colin Firth and Ewan McGreggor? All dads if my memory serves.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 81,220 ✭✭✭✭biko

I would go gay for Pierce Brosnan, well not really but maybe.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,917 ✭✭✭✭iguana

Definitely Harrison Ford and shamefully Kevin Costner.:o

Hotsville (with the exception of Colin Firth, who's only ok-looking) but all too young.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 644 ✭✭✭Mackleton

God I forgot all about Pierce Brosnan, used to be in love with him for ages...
Also in the right circumstances wouldnt mind a bit of Sean Bean, but he would have to stay silent, cant stand that dodgy accent!

So is it dads we are talking about or aul fellas?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 37,214 ✭✭✭✭Dudess

Auld fellas - George Clooney being the youngest. Also, no point in saying, for example, Mel Gibson when he was in Mad Max. Granted, he was indeed rather scrumptious then but that was also the best part of thirty years ago, when he was but a lad. Only counts if you fancy him NOW!

Robert De Niro is rather sexay...

Doug Savant - mmmm. Only 42 so a little too young but, God yes, what a hottie! Wow! I definitely don't need that sex drive-increasing patch for women that was all over the papers today!

What I appreciate about women is that generally their tastes are far more diverse and less obvious when compared to men. Damn lucky for men, especially me. :D The same thread with men as the main contributers tends to throw up the obvious. The names of famous men that women friends of mine put forward always gives me some hope. So far we've gone from Gordon Ramsey to Mr. Clooney and I'm sure weirder will crop up(fair play CathyMoran, keep 'em coming). It's true women are the fairer sex. :D

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Cheers Wibbs. Yeah, women do tend to look beyond the obvious all right. I wouldn't go near David Beckham with a bargepole.
Somebody mentioned Christopher Walken. Yep - I'd do him.
Richard Hammond - cute but miles too young.
Sam Elliott - yeah, he's attractive all right.
Ooh, just thought of one - David Strathairn. Dark and brooding = hot.
