Or to be more specific, mates of the opposite sex? I know a lot of girls, and a few are very good friends, but I don't think there's one that I haven't thought about shagging at one time or another.

It would be odder if you never thought about shagging them, imo.
I have a BF now, so 'obviously' I don't ever think about shagging anyone but him but when I was single I often had the odd sexy day dream about my boy friends.

in general if your very good friends, a night on the sly while drunk wont ruin things. Ive done it in the past and as long as both parties involved are in agreement it just 'happened' then all is well. Possibly complications if one of them wants more, never experienced that..

Not true. I fancied my best male friend, ending up kissing him and we're still together 4 years later. Not always going to be the case, I know, but having been friends for so long gave us a really solid base for the relationship.

Ah cool general consensus is with me. Although a few people seem to think this is a personal issue, its not that I'm thinking about acting on it, I just tend to look at girls boobies and think about ploughing them. But that's what boobies are for, the only friends I would shag are the ones' I haven't known for too long anyways, otherwise I know them too well to seriously entertain the idea of random casual sex.

To be honest I think I've slept with most of the girls I'm mates with at one stage or another. Sure you know what it's like. You're all friends, you all socialise together, you get drunk together and before you know it you're shagging each other.

Hasn't really been a big problem until I started going out with this girl and introduced her to my friends. Of course she eventually started delving into my sexual history and was a bit taken aback when I admitted under interregation that I had bonked nearly all my female friends at some point in the past. I don't think she ever looked at them the same way after that.
