    Hi
I'm new to boards.ie and this reply might be a bit late but here is some info anyway

I did my TEFL course at CES (Centre of English Studies) on Dame street http://www.ces-schools.com

It was a great course and gives loads of info and 5 teaching practices. The course is MEI registered which means that you will be able to teach English as a foreign language in Ireland as well as abroad. You need a primary degree (a BA) to get on the course though. If you are looking for a job and they require a CELTA/ Trinity cert or equivalent this is the same. (120hour course)

I got work in their summer school the following summer and then went to China where I taught for a year and a half. I'm back in Dublin for the summer and back working with them again.

For other courses check out www.mei.ie but i think they are mostly the same - just make sure that the course is mei registered otherwise you may not be able to teach in Ireland - the on line i-to-i couse is not - and you need as much in class teaching experience as possbile - especially if you are planning to go to Asia as you will be facing classes or 40-50 students.

    Hope this helps!
