Everything is just getting to me lately but Im keeping it all in. From the outside I am a very normal person, normal job, normal family, normal girlfriend, play sport, but I keep everything in and one of these days it feels like its going to explode. I actually dont even know what I could do differently sometimes I feel like quitting my job, dumping my girlfriend giving up my hobbies etc just so there will be a change in my life and I can start again - for something to do. I know theres no real point to this post but I would definitely appreciate if anyone in their 20's who has been in a situation like this before could post and let us know how you got on. Or just any general advice. Thanks for reading.

    Hi

i think your problem could be routine. we all get pi**ed off with life, same old things time after time, i find if you talk to the people around you, you usually find they feel the same way though maybe not to the same extent as you are feeling now.

chat to your girlfriend, get your feelings off your chest and maybe you could both come up with something new to do, not necessarily together but take up a new hobby, join a club, meet new people. i dont mean to sound patronising (believe me I get like this sometimes too) but the point is you could jack it all in tomorrow and then what???? you have got to look at where you could make positive improvements in your life not concentrate on the negative aspects.

Take a year out and go traveling.

That angry feeling is the worst isn't it?
Maybe take up paintballing or something to vent some rage in a suitable enviroment. If friends or family are getting on your nerves maybe bring them along too. Maybe letting loose on them will help!

Go out into the middle of a field and scream your head off for a few minutes. Release is great. Works for me every couple of months

Man i get this feelin so often it isnt even funny.
I call it the "Stress of Life" syndrome!

It feels like ya wanna punch someone or somethin. Like everything ya do is wrong. like your on your own? Like everything is jus gettin so boring and ya have absolutely no motivation to change it?

I swear, the best thing I can do to fix it, lie down, breathe properly and listen to a band called Sigur Ros! The most relaxing, hope building and motivational music of all time!

I'm feeling a bit like that at the moment.

Different that I'm a student though.. I'm in Transition Year and I'm just bored! I'm not being challeneged at anything! I thought this year was a time to discover myself and challenges presented to me? Maybe I've been given them and just been oblivious but I doubt this..

I think its normal when you are doing the same thing every day for a long time, I find it helps when you make some changes though. As has already been said have you considered travelling? Maybe heading to Australia for a year, apparently theres tonnes of Irish in certain parts so it probably wouldnt be too hard to settle into. Its something I plan to do myself at some stage anyway. (before I am 30)
