Possible to have NTL & Sky on the same cable?

In December I had Ntl cut off & had Sky installed. The Sky guy ran a cable from dish to junction box and joined it to a cable which had previously been bringing ntl to the main tv in living room. He did this only after some arguing & cash payment. In February rejoined ntl analogue & BB as wanted their BB back & they had a good offer on two services.

Is it possible to join the sky cable feed from the dish to the ntl cable at the junction box, so I can have sky digital and ntl analogue on my main tv-which means I can watch setanta sports in my living room again? I could also locate the Cable modem behind the TV in the living room instead of the kitchen.

Before I go cutting & joining It would be know if its possible or would the two services conflict with eachother.

    thx

i think ive read you correct here? Ntl and sky satellite through one feed cable? Yes it is possible. you will need 2 of these, 1 at each end. (one in junction box for the ntl and sky feed and then one at tv point to feed the tv (ntl) and sky digibox.

Maplins also sell these but i would say at a price.

The sat LNB to RHS and Cable to LHS. Though Cable TV cable is not up to same standard as Satellite cable. Make sure the cable between the two combiner/spiltters is Satellite Grad double screened or else apart from loss at upper satellit channels, you can be generating interference or have interference from Mobile Phones, Dect etc
