get rid of the beer gut by improving your diet. get fitter by not being lazy and going to the gym/ play soccer/ climb a mountain.

sometimes the most difficult things have easy answers

for both diet and fitness basics head to the stickies where there's oodles of info. If you really want to risk a slating (well, by your own admission you eat lots of junk!!), post up your diet for suggested improvements. Cutting out junk, eating whole, non-processed foods and of course, cutting back the booze (not out, but down) will help you lose fat.

Denny, I gonna bet you eat alot of stuff in the evening, surprisingly the term "beer gut" is generally a lie, its mainly junk food that affects your girth.

Get a bicycle(and use it). I find the passing scenery holds my interest(unlike a treadmill). A clip on micro radio, with in ear headphones, is useful, also.

Personally i find it a bit dodgey wearing headphones cycling in the city but each to their own.
I recommend the treadmill and obviously the diet change

Just a small pointer , don't let anyone tell you about localised weight loss , it comes off equally from all areas so to get rid of that beergut them bingo wings and kankles need to go too (not thats I am in anyway implying that you have either but just explaining my point:o )

Well for men the majority of excess weight is located on the stomach, but you will lose fat from all areas.

There's a sub-section of this forum for training journals which are quite a good motivator to keep yourself going. I'm still a n00b to this with a beer-gut to rival the best. Hopefully I won't have it for too much longer though!
