My son has damaged his 30gig Ipod video. A small part of it has gone black and the rest is faded alot. What can I do about it?

not a hell of a lot unfortunately. You can try contacting apple to get it repaired but you'll likely have to pay for that. Sorry I can't give you a better solution but black screen equals dead pixels, and they can't be resurected.

Give apple a shout, If your still under warenty and you phrase you corrispondence right you may be able to get it repaired for free. The warenty does not cover accidental damage btw, so if you're trying to get a freebie try to come up with a solid reason for why the screen is how it is.
