Capturing directly to a laptop?

In either OS X or Windows, but OS X is preferred. I'm doing some work at home and it would be much easier for me if I shoot directly to my laptop...

Any suggestions? I've seen from Google that the EOS Utility will allow it, but Canon don't seem to offer a download.

when you connect your camera and the download image option pops up there should be a remote shooting tab on the window.
If not reinstall the software that came with it.

Nope, Canon cameras apparently don't like OS X Tiger, especially on Intel hardware.

Eh, forget OS X I guess. Canon's whole attitude seems to be "lol Intel pwnd."

software is EOS capture 1.5 , and its directly available for OS X ,

It's not an issue with the camera, the software simply won't run under OS X 10.4.8. Apple seem to blame Canon and vice versa.

Dont forget the change the cameras communication mode if you get it going
