The Dragstar 650 Classic will also make the power to weight ratio.

The only problem with the 650 is that it's more expensive....

JP on Pearse St sometimes has them. They'd be Japanese imports, and that particular shop has a good selection of imported cruisers and tourers.

Yea i'd say you will get 1 in Jp's .or pick up a copy of bike buyers guide and have a look in there. or you could buy my 250 ? it's a little more suitable for a beginner. the 400 might be a little bit to power full to start on.

Ok cheers I'll Check out that place,
As for the 250 you are probably right but i'm trying to future proof a bit.
Most feeback on the 250 as a beginner bike is that people get sick of it after 6months and want the extra power....
    Thanks for the advice

just be careful, i though the same when i bought mine, and in fairness it is a little lacking in the top end, but over all it's an amazing bike to learn on.

And also mine has an alarm and Fat pipes, which will cost you 500 - 600 extra for the dragstar 400.

    just an FYI ;)

I've seen and heard this bike, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between it and a 650.

Have mine for the last year and a half, learned to drive it from scratch and used it for my test today.. PASSED IT YIPPEEEE!!!!:D .Found it a brilliant bike:cool: to begin with, safe and sturdy, not a lot of plastic bits to break when you let it drop.

    Congrads on the test passing.

I had my Dragstar 250 for just over 2 years. Loved it to bits. The fat pipes are a great addon, as they give the bike the big look and feel. As for speed, Snaga's 650 classic was only about 5 or 10mph faster, but still took the same time to get there.

is your heart set on the dragster. just talking to a work colleague of mine over lunch and he is thinking of selling his Honda Shadow Slasher 400. Nicer bike than the dragstar if you ask me, but it's your prerogative. let me know if your interested and Ill find out more info for you.
