    Hi All,

Apologies if this has been asked before but I couldnt find an answer. Basically I'm a 27 year old guy working as an IT Team Leader with a large multinational company. I'm getting itchy feet and want to travel and work in the states for a couple of years before coming home to do the whole mortgage etc....

While I can find some information on the US Embassy page does anybody have any advice on how best to go about this in a way which won't confuse a nation as the official US sites do at times..

    All Help Apreciated.....

You can't just go work in the US, what with all their paranoia and stuff.

    Your options are:

Get a company to sponsor you - highly unlikely to happen, unless you have a very specialised are of expertise (think competition from Indian and Chinese, not to mention local Americans with similar experience).

Win the Green Card lottery - one in 20 million, or somehting like that

Marry an American - I'll leave it to you to figure out the odds of that happening
