silly americans.... i can never understand how shipping is so expensive from sites in the US when shipping from hong kong is so much cheaper and a hell of a lot quicker.

guess american shipping companies just dont have the same level of efficiency as those in HK

First of all UNCompany is a HK based company so has nothing to do with America. And secondly the reason its so expensive is because shipping is calculated by size and weight. The bb's weigh about 8kg by themselves so its understandable they are going to charge you through the teeth.

whoops, my bad, i thought they were based in the US, fair point about the bb's though

Just to note, I suppose I'm not blaming UNCompany. They don't have much control over shipping costs either I guess.

My shipping was quite high from UNcompany for my last order but that was for 10 bags of BB's and a few other bits and pieces. I've dealt with UNc four times so far and there shipping is in the cheaper region then most. Bulk orders will workout cheaper then eHobby.

Redwolf quoted me $237 shipping for 10Kg of BBs needless to say I wasn't interested

$123 isn't really all that bad considering your order looks to be over 10Kg

BTW: What the hell is a Tango TJH-01

Just got charged $40 for 2 p90 300rnds from UNComp. Mags are pretty light.....but their for mon ami so i dont give a rats ass!

have dealt with uncompany before - excellent crowd to deal with. got all the extra's for my 40F and the '36 from them.

again, you're better off to wait until you're buying a lot of gear before going to them, or bunch together and place a group order to get the best out of the shipping.

Back on topic. Even with shipping costs its probably still cheaper to buy the bbs from UNCompany than it is to try buy them off one of our native retailers. Afterall they have to get them somewhere and whack a mark-up on them. Plus...try watch Customs justify putting a tax on between 8-10kgs of small plastic balls!!

They dont need to justify it though, thats the killer. its a product that was bought outside the EU so its VATable.

I dont think buying abroad for BBs is cheaper unless you buy a very large quantity.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,414 ✭✭✭kdouglas

they dont need to justify anything, once the value is over a certain amount (€45 i think???) and it comes from outside the EU, then they will charge you tax

    Edit: snap

Those "crap" blue bbs are actually .25g high quality ones. I'd take them over .20g white ones any day ;)

In Predator they told you that those bb's were crap, did they not? Actually maybe it wasnt you...but the general concensus there was they were rubbish.

No they weren't, they were really good. Someone made a comment about teflon coated bbs being bad for your inner barrel. These aren't teflon coated though.

They penetrate bushes really well. Myself and N.O.I.P both used them on the same day and said they were excellent. I don't know where you're getting the rubbish thing from.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 960 ✭✭✭Harekin

I dunno, maybe it was the day I went up with Spitfire...so confused.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

it WAS the time i was there but it was my mistake in saying teflon that caused the confusion. the teflon bbs are ****e but the blues are not teflon coated. i use them too and dont find them to be bad at all.
