what a brilliant ending to series 1.does anybody know if there will be a second series? and if so when?

afaik they are starting the filming of it soon,or so says www.e4.com/skins but it dosnt say when it will be finished for

I was shaking. The Cat Stevens song at the end was utterly bizarre though.

ye it was a great ending,kind of saw it coming when he was talking on his phone...very weird but effective use of the song,especially

I think that that ending almost put me right off Skins.
It was just so bad. Such a lame way of leaving a cliffhanger to the 2nd series. And the song... why would the writers of Shameless end skins the exact same way as they ended shameless? Can they not come up with more than one original idea per show?
I cant believe they would use such a cheap plot device as that bus accident. I like the show and will throw it on if it's on, but I have to say that the writing is just poor in some cases. Lord help you if you use coincidence to tell fiction. Its derivative, overdone, inexplicable and retarded way of ending the series.
A big slap on the wrist.

I thought it was an absolutely brilliant ending and I enjoyed it all. Tony singing was hilarious tbh.

Cant wait for the second series.
Also maybe a more serious note but (sorry for going off-topic):

Anyone else noticed how incredibly skinny all the main characters are?
We saw Andwar at the beggining of the episode naked and tbh he would not of looked out of place at a concentration camp. Sid, Tony, Maxxie and even Chris were all very skinny too - and I would even think that this is the kind of television series that would have an effect on the young peeps of today in terms of encouraging them to that this type of slimness is goodlooking or even nice?

I think your reading way too much into it tbh, I didn't even notice that they were skinny .The size zero debate has been mentioned alot lately and the consensus seems to be too skinny is bad ,so hopefully we'll see a big change there.

Usually I would say I disliked that sort of ending, but the whole series was consistently brilliant. I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Still, what a great bloody show!

Oh and F*** the size zero debate. Who cares if some of the main characters are skinny.

I thought it was pretty good ending (didn't mind the Tony bit, but the other character wrap ups were class), wasn't expecting a 9 episode season though, I never saw Shameless and that had weird season lengths (checked IMDB).
