I was thinking of using a strong wood glue , or impact adhesive , and puttin a G clamp on it for a few days and see what happens???

Nasty! But that's an all to common thing to happen with Gibson, I'm told.

A strong wood glue, or perhaps Epoxy would definetly do the job though, but I wouldn't make any best, as I've never repaired anything so extreme.

I did exactly the same thing in exactly the same place. My bro's a Luthier, and he glued it, but also drove two maple dowels perpendicularly through the weak part of the neck to strengthen it. Worked fine after that!

Not identical, but similar, and worth a read before you do anything.

I'm no expert but it looks ideal for glue and clamp to me since it's fairly clean and there's no bits missing. I'd suggest slacken the strings immediately.

I second this. Dropped my POS fender and split the neck in the same place.
Dowels, glue, G Clamp should sort it out.

I'd say glue would be enough. look at the crack, it cracked across the thicker part of the wood, which doesn't say much for the quality of the wood at all. looks like a POS anyway, just glue and clamp, the glue will be stronger than the wood anyway.
