Sorry if this has been posted but my search option isnt working for me..

Anyone know anywhere in Dublin where I can get my hands on a decent set of poker chips?

I'm talking about good quality clay chips with a minimum weight on 11.5 grams preferrably more.. and in a nice case. They are for a gift so I'm not gonna skimp on the price. I've basically searched all over Dublin and the only place I found were either a few toy stores selling cheap crap or Arnotts selling a set for over €550..

I'd like to get these this week if possible so a store I can actually walk into a see them before I buy would be nice..

    Any ideas guys?

Dunnes Stores were doing sets a while ago that were very nice. Also Gadgets and Gizmos in the Square in Tallaght had them. everything there is overpriced anyway but he has nice ones.

you could try Sean Fagan Wholesalers on the long mile road - dont think they are strictly the type that allow you in off the side of the road to pick something up but I know they have good 11.5grm chip sets (same as the ones on offer via the PaddyPower points for prizes) and they are good understanding folk and where poker in concerned you are more likely to get a positive response.

Tried there.. they dont do them anymore..

Just had a chat with the guy in OK Sports in Rathmines who used to do lovely top quality sets and he told me that since Tesco, Dunnes and the likes started doing the cheap sets, his market just dried up..

Ah well, guess I'm gonna have to put in the miles to find a set..
