Any Wedding Planners Here?

Maybe this question would be better suited to the Work + Jobs forum, but I'll post it here for now, if that's OK with the mods?
I was just curious, are there any wedding planners on Boards, and if so, how did you get into Wedding Planning.
Ever since I attended my friends wedding last year I have been obsessed with weddings. I have so many idea's and I would love to actually put them into practice and make a career out of it (I think ).

I have a degree in Media Production and Media Management, and Event management was part of my course. In fact my business plan, which was part of my degree course requirement, was for an Event Management company. However, although Event Management took the form of a module on my degree, I do not have a strictly Event Mgt related qualification.

Would I need one? and where could I get one part time?

Is it possible to get into Wedding Planning part time? By perhaps helping a company at weekends? Evenings?
