    Hi, just a quick question....

Can anybody out there tell me if Physios can refer patients for X-Ray? I have to go to physio over an old injusry flaring up but this time I also want to get an x-ray to see if there is any skeletal damage! But i dont want to have to pay the Doctor and the physio at the same time!

    Thanks,

    Thehamo

I needed an mri last week and the physio could book one for me but in order for my health insurance to cover the cost the referal had to come from my GP. It was an awful lot cheaper to pay the GP 53 euro than ten times that for the scan.

If you have gp referal to a physio then they can refer you but if you go to a private physio then your better off getting the gp referal

    Hi
I work in a hospital and we dont accept referral letters from a physio only from GP's and Consultants.

was just about to say my missus works in the xray dep and they will only accept from gp or consultant. Physio is a no.

Perhaps see a chiropractor with an x-ray machine? ;)
