    1/2 NL, Effective Stacks 380.

I am in the BB with AdKd,
Not entirely sure about the action here but I think JBravado makes it 7 from EP (may have been a blind raise) - its quite possible he just called 2 also.

    LP player makes it 20,

    button calls,

I call (I only call here as I expect Sam to tank it with quite a wide range),

    Sam makes it 75,

LP goes all in for c.350,

    button folds,

    action on me?

Notes: Plenty of preflop action at the table, a couple of people have tanked in 200+ preflop to take it down after a raise and a call or two. One guy tanked it with Q 10 on the button and got called by the SE Nuts A 9. It would appear that Sam has been raising/reraising pretty light. LP is pretty agressive with his play also - I dont know his name but on the occasions I have played him I would classify him as being aggro.

I don't like AK. I used to get myself in alot of trouble with AK becuase I considered it to be a bigger hand than it really is. Second player has pumped it for 350. You dont need to play this big a pot preflop with that many BB's. Just because villain has a reputation for ebing very aggro doesn't mean he has no hand. He raised the original raiser and raised again to the max when the got the chance. If you have him on 22 do you call? QQ do you call?? you're behind to both, and if he is getting cute with QJ or worse you're ahead, but not that far. With AK i want to see a flop and can win big against a weak a or k, or i can drop cheaply if i miss. In this case, drop cheaply preflop.... but i'm a bad player. :p

AA // KK on this occassion (the absolute top of their described ranges)

weird... i'd say AA and KK is at the top of my range as well... but I'm a bad player. :p

This was one of the strangest tables Ive played on.

No one apart from maybe yourself was playing 100%.I myself had been consumed by my old nemesis Gamblor.

I cant really remember the course of this hand-(I think it was where I had qq)

Getting so much money in with ak is never ideal but the dynamics of this particular game meant it was unlikely that you are going to be in terrible shape. Also it certainly didnt look like the guy who tanked it had aa or kk.

Saying that no matter how bad Im playing it is unlikely that Im putting in the third raise with a call in front of me with ablsoute air.Even a goon playing like a jerk can find a real hand.

What was your plan when you just called the first raise?

what do you put sam on? Would LP think like you and do this with AJ+, 88+?

What will sam call with? TT+ AQo+? How much of his raising range does that represent?

Their ranges arent being affected by post flop action. All you have to do is work out the various ranges and throw it in or not.

For others reading this I folded my hand. Sam called and flipped QQ against opponents AsKs - The other guy hit one of 3 outs on the turn as we ascertained that the button had also folded an A.

I was pretty sure that it looked like a perfect spot for you to stick in a raise and my intention was to jam it all in if folded back around to me. I would have been confident of being in good shape against you had you called as you were "gambling" just a little. I reckon there was a small chance you would have dropped it to me preflop as I was probably the only player at that table to which you could possibly have given credit to for a hand like AA or KK.

1010+ AQo+ was a pretty fair range to assign Sam.

I didnt know the answer to this and it is what ultimately finalised my decision to fold.

This is purely maths. I think it's close. Leonny Leonard has been slacking off recently:)

    we make money:
against Ax and underpair we are about 40%
against underpair and underpair we are about 40%
against Ax and Ax we are about 65%

    we lose money:
against AK and underpair we are about 40% to tie
if either of them have KK or AA - between 10% and 20%

if you could assign % values to their ranges we could use pokerstove to work it out.

i think it comes down to how many Axs in "sams" raising range does he call two all ins and i doubt its enough.
