Just curious for opinions on this. Its apparently becoming big in the UK. See the youtube slot
    Link

The main website in the UK is wiiforfree.co.uk

It appears to be what is says - its a marketing site where they appear to get you to do the work if you are so inclined. To count as a referral a person has to put in real details (not necessarily including any financial details but real email and postal address). You have to set up a website and put a referrals link on that and for everyone who signs up using your link you get one referral - 10 and you get a free wii.

I'm not doing this as a form of advertising - its not available to Ireland - I'm not setting up a website for it or anything but I'm curious of people's opinions. Obviously using a real email or postal address means prepare to get spammed.

I'm not sure about even posting this - no doubt there'll be people who'll think 'FFS how gullible is this guy' but I wouldn't do this myself and am just curious about some boardsies opinions on the subject.

3 words: Scam, Scam, Tuna! (3rd word wasn't particularly relevent! :D)

Nothing comes for free... typical pyramid type scheme in which you sign up 10 people, they sign up 10 people and so on and so forth!

I fail to see why anyone would bother giving you anything for free? It defeats the purpose of anything. If it seems illogical it's a scam. I bought my Wii and I'm very happy with it :)

100% right. Nothing is "free" and once you hear the word mentioned run a mile. It is a mixture of naivety and greed that suck people into these scams, dont fall for it.
