I don't think you'll get anything other than crap for €200. You could go for something like this

    http://www.thomann.de/ie/millenium_mx222.htm

or just keep an eye in the FS section here or www.drummingireland.com for someone selling something on but I'd really recommend you try to save a little if you can at all.

And that Millenium kit is truly, truly horrible. A drum teacher once told me, "If you buy cheap, you'll buy twice."

Could you try for around €500? You could get something like this.

I've got the Force 505, a dead solid kit, nothing to complain about.

Too true. I bought a ****ty Millennium too although it was even ****tier because it was the junior one. :o

I played that for about 2 years because I couldn't afford anything else, but I recently got a good kit for about 400 that I'm very happy with.

theres a little music shop in rathfarnam (spelling) called metro music - they started off as a ****ty music shop, which i used to frequent on my school lunch breaks. One day i noticed they got in a guitar, then another and so on..

Its now a music shop, and they have a pearl xxx cant remember, with high hat, crash, ride, all hardware. Its not a big kit, i think its more of a jazz kit, but tbh, if your learning it would be a great kit to start off with, and wouldnt be that bad to keep on as you progress.. It retails at 500 euro, which from what i recall for that kit is pritty damn good considering its usually sold without the hardware and symbols/hh for 450/500.

Might be worth going in or calling them and asking them if they have anything cheaper or what not to use, you will find them on goldenpages.ie.

I try buy all the stuff i can from that shop, its really small, but their cataloge is growing by the day, and one of the main heads in there is a drum teacher, so he should guide you in the right direction - they aint the money grabbing type, and they have often helped me out when im stuck!

went to everest in bray yesterday for some strings and leads etc, and noticed they have sale on some Pearl kits...might be worth checking out.
don't know where you're located, but they're doing some good deals ...includ cymbals, stool etc.

u might find something that suits what you need.

btw, you'll only get a pile of crap for 200, better going for 400 - 500 and getting something that will stand the test of time!
