2 hands from the Fitz last night, would you have folded neither, one or both?

1st hand is in the 500 tournie. I have 13k, Bomber has 17k and UTG calling station has 10k

I'm on the SB with A5o. Blinds are 100/200. 3 callers incl. Bomber Nolan on the button. I complete and BB checks

    Flop is 2c3c4

I check, UTG bets 500, Bomber makes it 1500. I reraise to 3800. Bomber pushes for 17k. Me.....

2nd hand is in the Omaha cash game. villain 1 has 160, villain 2 has 500 and i have 350.

    Blind raise to 5, 6 callers, i call from BB with Q 10 7 7 no diamonds

    Flop is Jx9d8d

    I bet 35, villain 1 calls and villain 2 makes it 150

    Me....

Tony were you smoking crack tonight? Shove both. The omaha hand is especially easy as you're holding 77 making it less likely for someone to currently have the nuts and you also have the nut straight redraw. Hand 1 if he has 56, meh. Thats poker.

Whats me holding 77 got anything to do with someone else having the nuts? I flopped the nuts with no redraw to a higher straight and i've no diamonds. Do you really think its that straight forward of a push?

Lol. The yamaha fold looks ok (id call myself). you could be up against a set/flush draw/nuts+wrap/flush redraw combo

if we call we have 190 of a 350 stack in the middle....i don't think flat calling is viable....

I thought that at best i was chopping it and facing someone with a redraw so i folded. Denis the dealer saw my hand nearly fell out of his chair when i folded!

One player had the nuts with top 2 pair and the other had a set and flushdraw but he missed so i would have chopped up his money but still dont think i did much wrong folding in this position

it can often be -ev calling/raising with the flopped nuts in omaha. if someone in that hand had AKQT they would be freerollign against you, and you are a dog to QJJT aswell as a good few other hands. good fold

In the omaha hand, folding would be fine (better spots to get your money in) or calling and pushing a non-scare card on the turn (prob my play). To do this, you need to be sure the player in the middle won't rerasie the flop after first calling

hand 2 depends who the villains are, I would be comfortable folding this against some people here but not as a standard in that game.

The raiser wasnt the type of player that would fold if i called and pushed a non scare card. If i had of had any type of redraw or a decent tank i might have tried this, but couldnt see it happening here. Thanks for the response lads

I would fold both of these hands from time to time, but not very often.

I dont make it a habit of folding the nuts myself buin the hand with Bomber, i was trying to think of a hand he would limp on the button with, raise the flop and then re-reraise me with. Generally Bomber stays out of my way when i'm in a hand and i couldnt put him on anything other than 56 here
