I don't know whether or not I went a bit overboard on the vignetting on this. Any thoughts ? Also top right hand corner is clumsily cloned, has to be corrected properly ...

I wouldn't really notice much vignetting on it...It more looks dodged than anything, but I think that adds to it.

I say leave the masts too!

How did you deve this one?

    The photo, it does nothing.

Honestly, the vignetting is barely noticeable, at least compared to some of what I've been churning out lately. If anything, I'd have used more (I'm a whore for the vignetting tools in Lightroom :[).

For the rest of it, the pylon and power lines are really annoying and distracting.

Hmm. I actually specifically included the masts IN the picture ! I thought it looked a little mysterious, the grand old facade of the central hotel and what looks like a secret HQ's worth of communication equipment on top. What IS incredibly annoying is the telephone mast obscuring the E in hotel. Didn't see that when I was taking the shot ...

Its Ilford delta 100 dev'ed in my usual fetid brew of coffee, washing soda and vitamin C. I think I'll be dropping that soon though. Anyone recommend a good liquid developer ? I feel a bit uneasy with the chemicals in B&W developer so I'd like to at least not have to worry about inhaling powder while mixing the stuff up (although someone recommended kodak Xtol as being fairly benign, is it still available ?)

And Fenster, yeah thats one Vignetted cat. Looks good though. I'm always a bit too scared to go that one step further. Gettin' there though ... gettin' there ...

Kodak Xtol I haven't used in a while. Should still be availible. (quick google says it is) I used the darkroom for the first time in a long while last week... p'ed off with shops and computers.

If you're uneasy about the chemical side of dev'ing, would you get it store developed, and print yourself?

If you want a good look at all the secret rooftop work, pop into Jury's Inn off Moore St. and head to the top floor.
