    today(saturday) is the holiday
so if you dont normally work on saturday your employer has 3 options
    1. give you monday off
    2. give you another day off
    3. make you work monday and pay you for an extra day

greine- im almost certain you could legally refuse to work today
dj - make sure you get your rights

go down to parts 21 and 22 i think, that states what you're entitled to if you have to work today (Saturday)

I'm working today but off Monday.
That's just my normal schedule tho.
Plus I'm in America. We don't close up shop for St Patrick's Day. It's not considered a Nationsl Holiday, just a Religious Holiday. And if you ask most passers- by they will say it is simply a reason to drink green beer. Yech.
    I don't mind working.

I'm working today and Monday...Is that legal?

    look its simple
you either get one day off or one days extra pay
    its up to your employer
the one day off can be either paddys day or monday or any other day

    and one last point

PLEASE LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OFF AND OF

Actually monday is a Bank Holiday. So if your off normally for a bank holiday then you will be off. If you get paid more for a bank holiday then you should get it.

    Saturday isn't a holiday.

    i didnt forget them
i know they are supposed to be there(not their)
but i choose not to use them - not necessary
but using words which have the correct meaning is necessary
