While doing the morning trim with my electric razor, I slip it into trimming mode and do the necessary. Also, give it a spin around the ears too.

Edit: just noticed some sado-masochists actually pluck them. How in the name of self-inflicted, tear-inducing pain could somebody actually do that to themselves?

i can't be arsed dealing with nose hairs directly ... any nose hair that survives mrs trout's chicken or beef diablo curry deserves to stay

After a while you come to enjoy it.
Nothing like pulling out big ol cluster of spider-legs... it's like picking your nose, only for more interesting treasure.

    Ooooh, aren't we the professional?

I'm not sure. I stick it in there anyway.

As with most of us here, I'd assume that the lack of hair on our heads is certainly made up for by looking like a gorilla everywhere else.

A cousin of mine once drove from Finglas to my office in the city center & called me out to reception to show me a nose hair that he had plucked. He had it carefully wrapped in tissue such was its importance to him.

The nose hair was 2 inches long! The best I've gotten is only around ½ inch.

    Any improvements on 2 inches?

Find 'em & pluck 'em :D

I plucked one nose hair. Once. Ever. I am never ever making that mistake again. Now Im used to plucking ear hair. But nose hair plucking is so sore its borderline sado-masochistic.

Pull 'em. And pull 'em hard.
Yeah, sometimes it brings tears to your eyes but it's effective!

Only if we start talking about pubic hair.

I pluck. The pain doesn't bother me. In fact you come to enjoy it after a while!

Does anyone else have really bad sneezing fits after a plucking session?

  • Registered Users, Subscribers, Registered Users 2 Posts: 47,352 ✭✭✭✭Zaph

Yes Brother, the sneezing comes immediately after the eyes start watering. It makes it rather difficult to pluck further hairs without putting a tweezer in your eye.

    Wait...
    U pluck pubes????
    And it makes you sneeze????
I propose that good brother MikeDragon32 needs a doctor....

I pull it out with my fingers.

I pull it out with my fingers.
    Exaaaaaactly.
Build the pressure gradually, just enough to pop them out... and it insures you only get the big ones... not the microscopic ones the tweezers often grabs... those are the most painful ones.

It's a bit like taking a massive dump... painful for a few seconds, but then afterwards you're glad you did.

    I DON'T PLUCK MY PUBES!!!!

(I'm a "half a sausage and the end of the curls" man, so why would I bother worrying about **** I can't see!)

Thats a pity. Your hardy biscuit stock was very much raised in my eyes.
But now you again appear sane..... so its a compromise on all sides.

What are we? Men or mice?

    Leave them nose hairs alone!

Only wimmin do that pluckin thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,399 ✭✭✭✭r3nu4l

Ah but the satisfaction of plucking those little f*ckers is great...except when you grab one that has never been plucked form a follicle before, then the eyes water badly :D

Yes, I pluck em if they get really bad. Can't top 2" though!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 36,634 ✭✭✭✭Ruu_Old

Leave them alone until I spot some, no point in worrying about it otherwise. :)

    Therapeutic to some extent.....

Heard that the more one pulls these out, the more likely WHITE ones grow to replace  So,
Pull 'em. And pull 'em hard.

It's the scissors for me. I have a small scissors especially for the job, i just jamb it right up the snot tubes and start cutting.
It's the no more tears formula. Quick and painless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,545 ✭✭✭Green_Martian

Brothers how can you Pluck, that must be worse than a kick in the b******s.......

If i see a stray one or two, i would use the nose trimmer my sis bought for christmas 2 years ago.......works very well

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,333 ✭✭✭tampopo

Nah, after plucking a few times the area is desensitised to the point of painlessness. 2" sounds good.Had a long one once, sorry now didn't measure it!!!

Would never ever ever EVER stick a small scissors up me snout

Plucking induces (sp?) a good sneeze, thereby eliminating the need to buy snuff ! Don'tcha know ;)
