    Hiya,

I'm kinda new to macs. Bought a macbook and it arrived yesterday. I've been using them in work for a while but not for home use. I bought a wireless modem and router today to set up wireless on it. Everything going grand so far. Went into network diagnostics and it searched for a network and found the modem. However when I clicked configure it came back with "can't connect to the internet".

I know i'm probably being completely thick about this but am I missing something? Do I need to do something else to get it working?

Are you sure you have configured the wireless modem correctly? I ask because normally if you join a wireless network with your MacBook, it should detect the correct settings automatically. You shouldn't need to do anything special.
