Howye, i've just sat down at this one about 4 hands ago so no reads. My play is terrible all round in this hand obviously but is it ever worth a call on the river here against an unknown player?

Its an instant call really now for me.
He could have made a straight, but because you never showed strength he could be reraising with Kx. Not sure about the EV but probably enough to make it a profitable call.

Would have reraised flop and raised turn though before it got to this. Build the pot with top set/top kicker.

I know it was badly played alright. I did call after a slight pause, knowing he'd be turning over AQo. The reason I asked on here was because I was kicking myself for calling when my opponent had the hand I expected him to have. Cheers.
