Saw this fellow, and I'm not sure what to think, but it seems like a really interesting little gadget, so I just had to post it.

    Thoughts?

Zvex do one too, a little valve amp aimed specifically at the ipod market.

Theyre toys for big boys - i dont think the sound quality of ipods justifies running it through a valve amp, but theyre shiny and cool, which is enough of a justification for plenty of people:D

    I like shiny things. :D

I think it's something more for practicing along with the mp3s though, like the Tascam stuff? Speaking of which, this looks like a better mp3 guitar related gadget: http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/71793

I dont think so, ive seen that particular one you linked to advertised in the gadget mags with no mention of guitars at all.

Its the kind of thing that would look cool on some yuppies glass coffee table, and thats who its aimed at afaik

Fair enough so, I just assumed it was guitar related, what with it being up on GAK, and the fact that there's a market for stuff to practice with, you know?

Actually, I think I better move this thread so. ;)

I should probably edit out the 'yuppie' part if youve moved it to the consumer electronics forum...

    meh..:D
