    You're buying a grenade launcher?!

From what I've been told, they're really just for show. Not too practical.

    But what a show....

Thats some Beast alright, the launcer should be savage at room clearing and cqb, wish my shoty could fire bb's like that ah well

You really think he's going to be allowed to use that indoors at the HRTA?

I think not! 70bbs to the head at a close range has got to be dangerous.

70?? lol i tought they were 18, sure how fast does each travel their supposidely fairly week, nope never used a nade launcer i just here their ideal for cqb

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 370 ✭✭padmundo

but how much power is behind the bb's... they don't travel down much of a barrel if at all and the power is distributed amongst all 70.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,984 ✭✭✭NakedDex

The nade launcher is a handy back up for cqb, more of an effect weapon from what I've heard. IE if you're caught out of ammo and you need an effective cover to give you time to escape or reload then it'll scare the **** out of everyone long enough for you to do that.

The one thing I'd be concerned with is that if it is for cqb then I'd advise getting the shorter K variant, or at least a barrell kit to convert it because a G36 is a huge weapon. It's longer than most doorways are wide.

Actually I was being conservative with 70

This gas refillable grenade stores 165 6mm BBs in its 11 chambers and releases them in one HUGE burst. The spread of BBs is simply amazing, literally "showering" the target with a cloud of BBs.

The fact that they're gas powered means they'd pack a good big of a punch.

I have yet to be shot with one so I haven't a clue.

from what ive read [ive not looked to much on nade launcers] their fairly weak individualy and only go like 40 feet or so without lobing em, kinda like the gas shotties if ya only got grazed by a handful youl hardly feel em. Although ya id expect it to be tested before brought into the kill house to make sure.

Actually this is kind of interesting because how do you chrono a nade launcer? Has anyone ever tried? I was toying with the idea of getting one in the summer but if they're only gonna be a cosmetic thing then I'd rather spend money on something a bit more useful.

Chronoing.. Bit of a hit and miss, but load one or two in... the chrono might get it though :)

I used one in a big woodland game a few years back. They're not just good in room clearing - with that 100+ shot ones you can actually hit quite a good area.

To be honest though, I'd spend the money on a sidearm instead :D

it would also add a fair bit of weight to the gun.
I wouldnt spend that much on my first gun without getting too try it out first as it will be very heavy and you might not like that once you get it.

    Yeah that airsoft weighs 5.5kg:cool:

If you do get it and are not happy with it, I'd happily buy it at cost price.

You could also get the STAR G36 $370 from ehobby and buy the AG36 launcher from that site also, its easy enough to fit. The STAR G36 come with dual optics, a 1x red dot and a 3.5x scope. The CA just has the 3x scope.

my gun is 3kg and it can be a pain at times, although i still love it.
5.5kg is just senseless though. its not something that you would e able to use in full skirmishes.

Check if they have a CA G36C package. Its just the TM version is a tad weak on the FPS without an upgrade while the CA is around 320-350FPS out of the box compared to TM at 270-280FPS.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 128 ✭✭whufee

yeah, i know, personally i dont lik jps products, but this offer only give u TM version, because im a chiken i think i couldn't put kits onto it, but i would like to have Star G36K instead, becos im a BF2gamer. i love ppl using MG36 as good supporter weapon. so .....i dont know which is better !help me........[without breaking my mama's bank, only450eu eu in my pocket] is UNcompany a good retailer? how about shipin?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

uncompany are good yeah. also worth looking at a box of star mags for whatever gun you decide to go for as uncompany do a box of 10 mid caps for 40quid for most guns.

THE WORD GUN ISNT THE PROBLEM FOR CHRIST SAKE.
Children play with "cap-guns" and theres no problem with them.

Maybe I was being ever so slightly sarcastic.

First impressions do count though, and the word 'gun' doesn't leave a nice one. Personally, I think we are ok using the term gun here, since anyone visiting these forums would quickly learn about what airsoft is.
