Nintendo use Gamespy middleware again, this time for Wii

    Interesting enough for techies but the really interesting bit is:

    As part of an ongoing partnership with Nintendo, GameSpy has developed middleware technology to enable Wii titles to offer community features, such as friend rosters, advanced matchmaking capabilities and comprehensive rankings data.

    So maybe the pain of the different DS friend codes per game will finally be abolished! Here's hoping!
    (note Pokemon Wii needs seperate friend codes that are not the Wii console numbers)

    O noes! Hopefully SSBM will be realesed after pokemon :( Looks pretty cool, be better if something else might be added to the wifi feature do instead of the same ole wiif, fc sharing, battle against each other. Stuf like that

    what did gamespy do for the ds? `they said they did something but all the online games ive played on it have no mention of it

    looks cool for the wii

    They created the matchmaking middleware for worldwide DS wireless gaming.
