Horizon Westport Adventure Centre

Just wondering has anyone went to the horizon adventure centre in westport on a ty trip and what ye tought of it??
(oh yes i forgot to mention we (my school) are going tommrow)

well we did go but we were booked into the hotel opposite it as part of the whole thing,just when we were going up they told us that that the hotel cant take us because there is some problem! sounded really like some sort of made up excuse by them as they really wanted us to stay in there cell like hostel which we ended up staying and was really rubbish! what im really trying to say is that they cant advertise the hotel accomdation as part of the adventure package when you dont get it they had the same excuse for the hotel for another local school!!(so it was'nt a once off) also the activites there were very poor and there wasnt much of a varitey..really everything that they say in the leaflet and on the website about the westport place is a load of rubbish!(www.horizonireland.com) DONT go there you will be very dissapointed!!!

We're going to Carlingford Lough instead....about a week after Easter... coming back about, um, two days before I have to go up on 6 foot scaffolding for a play...via ladder...I saw the bruises people came back from Delphi with....genuinely terrified...

no the craic was sort of ok,not brillant!
you dont have to all the activites its your choice what you want to do!!

Just got home last night from it, and Joe Fitz is obviously crazy

the rooms were hilarious,you couldn't even stretch out your arms they were so narrow, but it was clean and basic
the instructors are awesome, they're great craic and really cool
you NEVER stop doing activities, up at 7AM and don't stop until 11PM except for meals
you're hiking up mountains, canoeing, surfing, rock climbing....
Every girl I went with wants to go back !

we are going there this yr for a week .
we are going to be there during the JC results which should be good
last year they had a bbq on the beach the night of the JC results.
anyone else going this year??
