    Cant wait to get home

I hope it will be a good game

    I hope pakistan will win.

I know w indies hold the punch in their middle order

thats something to look at plus last 15 overs will be crucial

see how game unfolds i would say Pakistan has the edge over windies just need be patient and utilize all opertunities

I think Pakistan needs a wicket before the partnership reaches 50

one the partnership builds it will be difficult for pakistan to handle.

My god Chanderpaul is scoring slowly here. Strike rate of about 33.

I think its fine so far they are going according to game plan

The idea is to get used to the wicket and then accelerate

cant wait to see the reverse swings !!! in the last overs !!!

I know how one day cricket is played but a strike rate of 33 is just taking the piss...

And as I say that he's gone. New batsman comes in and has to get used to the wicket himself and Chanderpaul has faced almost 60 balls for 19.

    Now Brian Lara

he is the Majic bullet !!!

If he sticks then pakistan are in for a major trouble !!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,601 ✭✭✭Marshy

Sensing another implosion here by the windies.

I agree but he is the most mature batsman in their side and this man knows how to handle pressure !!

i would term his situation as "last man standing"

can some one tell please whats the Projected score for w indies in 50 overs given the speed they are going at ?

    101 after 30 overs = 3.367 runs per over

In 50 overs gives 168 runs.

Edit: Go on Samuels you good thing!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,211 ✭✭✭Royale with Cheese

Samuels really going after Kaneira. Wrong stage of the innings to be playing these kind of shots but very entertaining nonetheless

Let's hope that the Windies can consolidate with the current partnership and get the score up to a competitive 230 or so.

We wouldn't want a batting collapse by the Windies to open the CWC

Edit: They'd need to bat at 6 an over for the next 18.3 overs to get that... here's hoping.

    232/9... couple of balls left...

Now, what WI side will appear after the interval? One that will show pride or one that will be dragged out to the middle?

50 overs to tell us how this host's World Cup will go....
