Paddy Power will refund your stake if your horse finishes 2nd to Detroit City. It includes e/w.

Now I just have to figure out how to bet - would you believe I used to get my ma to put on bets for me?

I'll keep it safe and pop a €5 on each ... hows that sound?

and a 1euro yankee just in case they all come in.the bookies will be glad to help just go in early as there will be a rush at 1-50pm for the first race. May the force be with you

it,s when you back all your horses to win on a single bet.Great odds but the chances of getting 6 winners in one day at chelthenham are huge. A 1 euro yankee will cost around 11 euro i think

Supreme Novices: Amaretto Rose, Tyson (place)

Bet of the day, as much as I try to find a bit of value to oppose her with I can't. Her form is rock solid with the mares allowance coming in very handy. At a price Tyson looks to have the potential to be a decent horse.

    Arkle: Don't Push It

Have been backing all of the top 3 at one point but have settled on Don't Push It, his only defeat over fences was when he ran Denman extremely close. MWDS is a class animal but I feel he might be caught for a bit of toe today.

    Champion Hurdle: Brave Inca

Despite all the negativity I still feel Brave Inca is the one to beat, there'll be nobody putting in more effort coming up the hill.

    William Hill Trophy: Rambling Minister

The William Hill has been won in each of the last 7 years by horses carrying 10-11 or less, Rambling minister fits that profile today. Very much on the upgrade and already proven in big fields under testing conditions 10/1 is a very attractive price.

    Cross Country: L'Adventure (small ew)

A bit of a monkey but talented none the less L'Adventure could go well at a big price.

    Fred Winter: Belord (ew)

His second to triumph hurdle contender Duty was franked when both the 2nd and 3rd won next time out, goes off a nice weight in 10-7 and won't mind conditions, 14-1 is a reasonable price in a race that is known to through up a big priced winner.

Cheers Cic, I stuck with €5 EW on my selection ... yankee sounds fun but not likely, I'll be kicking myself if it happens though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 203 ✭✭keepitquiet

dont push it fell, fair along started bollox and my way de solzen won. fair play to the horse cracker. shame the two other contenders were taken out by a fall and a hamper, would have been a good finish the way they were travelling...

    Time to lay detroit city.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19,341 ✭✭✭✭Chucky the tree

who originally called that:) well done boards.ie!!!!

When PP give an offer like the one they did for Detroit City, it usually means he will let down. Have seen them offer that many times and usually the fav will lose. Great run by Sublimity. Unfortunately i was on Hardy for the win and Asian Maze e/w who seemed to be out of it almost from the start

Can anyone post the results as I cant find them!
