I've never done it but someone told me before not to do it during the summer as the atmosphere isn't right with all the daylight going on... don't know how true that is, I would have thought that if you are even slightly interested, then the 'history' of the area is as interesting as the sightings.

A few of us from here did it before as an outing (I'd done it before anyway) and it was good craic. Its best to do it when its dark alrighht and as long as you are in good conpany and just go for a laugh its great.

I would highly highly recommend this. As was said, it would be better in the dark (altough it's very dark on the bus anyway with the curtains closed), and it is meant as entertainment so it's something to do with a group, but it is very very entertaining and enjoyable.

Altough I suppose that could depend on who you're sitting beside ;)

    Ok,

we did this last year as the guys said.

Steven is right it does get quite dark when they close the curtains on the bus:D

the guide we had was really camp, great for tourists.:D

Now when I first got on I thought - oh gosh - this guide is going to ruin it with his ameteur dramatics but in fairness he gave loads of info that I didn't know about Dublin (then again I'm not from the pale so it's all news to me!)

Personally I didn't find the fact that we did the tour on a summer evening was any great issue,by the time you get to the juicy bits it's dark

In summary I can't recommend this highly enough (though sit with someone who will sit on the outside when the guide gets touchy feely;) )

If you fancy doing this I would also recommend the Zozimous tour - walking tour

Good luck - let us know what you think if you do it

Sounds good. Do you get out of the bus and go into haunted places?

    Hiya Boreds,

Yes you do get off the bus and go into haunted places - old church (ST. Kevin's I think) Also by the old walls and Dublin and somewhere else that I can't remember.

It's really worth doing I think - even if the guide does ham it up a bit!
