Possible shrill (?* sits to get action going) to be aware of stars plo table

There's a really strange player on pokerstars on the plo tables, not sure what i'm suspecting (if anything) but...... player: joelmick. I've watched him for a very long time now, and his M.O. is consistent: Every day he sits down at between 4 -6 plo tables, nothing unusual there but what really perplexes me is that every day he sits down at 4 or 5 different limits with the minimum.

dont really get the logic behind sitting at 25/50, 10/20, 5/10, 3/6 and 2/4 plo with the minimum, also i v rarely see him win if ever. also slightly suspicious of his infinite bankroll and various trips down to 1/2!!! didnt bother emailing stars support over it just to get the standard line back but i dont see much logic in what he does, i dont actually play any of the games myself but anyone playing them just be aware of it.

So you reckon stars put a shill in to generate rake?
You also reckon this guy never wins a cent.

By that rationale, would you see this as a profitable thing for stars to do?

No i actually dont have any suspicions at all, just think its an unusual situation, something unique that ive seen anyway. dont know many others who multitable cash games in this manner, taking a seat in every limit. Could be massively rich and a lover of plo, who knows. When i say "a long time" i mean he has been doing this almost daily for over a year, i just think it's peculiar. just killing time thought i'd post it, no deep reaching X-Files thoughts on it :D

Whatever about multi tabling all limits simultaneously, that is a little strange, but buying in for the minimum in PLO is quite common. One of my close friends makes a lot of money using this strategy at higher limit PLO.

I doubt there's anything underhanded going on with your guy though.

By the way, why are you stalking him? :)

hehe good question, maybe im the conspirator :D if im bored playing, sometimes i watch the higher cash games, i like watching Gary Jones and Rafi Amit in particular on stars, saw this guy one day sitting for 1k and reloaded about 10 times each time at 25/50 then i searched him and he was sitting at every single limit all the way down to 1/2..... i just dont get how someone can keep reloading 1k whilst at same time be playing a stack of $40 on another table.

It's strange alright, but the bold above should've ruled out any possibility of a shrill, no?

True, i dunno really, i wasnt really trying to indicate some great big conspiracy but i know i would be un-nerved by something like this anyway..... he might just be a rich plo lover, and not so good at it!!! anyway it's out there now so if any of you run into him he's either a bankroll-donk-fish or a mastermind of a rake-conspiracy, 1st step in his plans for world domination!!

joelmick is just a shortstacker, these types of players are not going to get any action going.

I remember thinking the same thing about a player last June when I was playing omaha on stars. He sat in every game with a shortstack and would raise 9/10 hands preflop with garbage and play it all the way to river. Then reload. I seen him play $10/$20 down to $0.25/$0.50 always short and always raising. I played different levels with him and I always asked him questions but never responded. Then 1 day this really got me thinking:

    Ab$urd: hahahaha
    Dealer: Game #5181509573: Ab$urd wins pot ($187)
    Ab$urd: pot committed?
    LuckySparky: oh u speak
Dealer: Game #5181516419: chefsrule wins pot ($19.95)
    Ab$urd: i dont speak, i rake
    Ab$urd: sometimes...
    LuckySparky: oh

conspiracy theories got to love them!

dont really get the logic behind sitting at 25/50, 10/20, 5/10, 3/6 and 2/4 plo with the minimum.

I've multitabled before with sometimes with small(not necessarily the minimum) amounts in plo on different levels, unlike hold em there is a shortage of 3/6 and above in omaha so don't always, in fact rarely have the choice of playing as many tables as I would like at 3/6 , 5/10 like I'd prefer so can end up playing a fair spread right from 2/4 ro 10/20 at times, so I don't think it's that strange.

You might also think it's strange that there are consistent losers like this guy - well there was a few regular losers in plo on tribeca - the main one who shall remain nameless I haven't spotted yet in Ipoker :( Anyway there's not enough of them for my liking, but as one poster says it's probably some bad player with lots of money who just likes omaha.

There are 100's thousands players online, chances are one of them is mad.

You might say the same if someone was playing Mikes Shortstack challenge (TM).

I play all these levels and come across him a lot. He plays poorly and will often stick 90% of his money in and routinely fold on the turn for his last 10%! lol

Him and cocoblackcat play the same way

I read about something similar a while ago on two plus two and remember one guy was adamant that it was money laundering, depositing loads of dodgy money and getting clean money back via rakeback and winnings. Sounds a bit ridiculous to me though.

If you google him you'll get a bit of info, Some people on 2+2 think he's a bot. He won the omaha event in the WCOOP in 04 and hasn't cashed in any tourny since.
