Can't launch an application window

I have a really annoying problem here, hope someone can help. I have an E-Mu external soundcard which comes with its own drivers and a utility application called Patchmix DSP which lives in the system tray. Usually when I click the system tray icon I can open the Patchmix DSP window so I can monitor sound levels, configure inputs and outputs etc etc. But the damn window won't appear anymore! Its icon appears on the taskbar alright but there is no context menu there and angrily clicking it doesn't help. I know the application is running alright because all my audio stuff is running normally, I just can't access its window :(

I've tried reinstalling and updating the application but no luck. E-Mu's support site and Google are throwing up nothing. Short of reinstalling Windows, can anyone suggest what I could do?

I'm running XP pro SP2 on a Dell Inspiron, if that helps. Thanks folks.
