    Hi Lads,
I recently bought a Nexto Di fancy pants On The Go storage device.....which worked all of once before it packed in.
Anyway I was looking for an alternative to replace it and came across the Vosonic VP2260 as a replacement.
I just bought it from this Picstop crowd and I was just wondering did anyone ever have experience with them. They seem pretty great on prices for the higher capacity CF cards. Site is a bit ****e looking but all their security seems to be in order and they check out very well on Kelkoo and Pricerunner, etc.

what happened to your nexto Roen? Was that the one with the HD supplied or did you get one of your own? I got the utlra 2525 (case only) and have had no problems so far - interested to hear of any issues though..sorry i cant help on your own query though..

It came supplied with the 80 Gb drive, it's a Samsung model. It only worked once I'm afraid. I tested it out with about 100 jpegs I shot in the room the day I got it and it was fine. So I stuck it in the bag for my last trip and when I went to use it it cant detect the hdd inside. It returns a NO HDD error and powers down.

I took it apart and I can get it to work if I manipulate the drive against the pins a certain way. But as soon as I close the case it wont work so it's pretty much useless, then I lost the rag and made really sure it's pretty much useless. It'll work about 10% of the time now.

Good prices alright. They're flogging 1Gb Sandisk Extreme IIIs for under £16, and including Capture One LE, handy for anybody that wants a cheap raw converter. Looks like they're operating out of the Channel Islands as they're offering stuff VAT free.

Looks like you might be the guinea pig Roen, let us know how ye get on.

Yeah they're another Jersey outfit, they only offer stuff under STG£ 18 VAT free to the UK. Head office is based in Isle of Man though.
I just received the good old 'item has shipped' mail about an hour ago so we'll find out in 5-10 working days.

    Hi all,
glad to say my item arrived safe and sound today. The email said 5-10 working days and it was here in 3. Item is working well and looks to be a good investment. It comes with a handy keyring screwdriver with both a flat head and a phillips head that are nowhere near as fiddly to use as their size would suggest. It also comes with a half dozen extra screws should you lose the ones that ship with it. Oh and a little carry case with a belt loop for those McGyvers out there.
The item was packaged well enough to survive Armageddon and supports practically all memory card formats out of the box, whereas the Nexto Di only supported CF and MD. Plus this thing actually works which is a bonus.

Now then, how to resist those 12Gb CF cards..........
