Clamping

Hi there, I'm new to this, so if I'm in the wrong forum can someone please move me, thanks.............

I've just called the clampers to clamp a car parked in my private parking space - and feeling a mixture of guilt (someone is going to have to pay 90euro to get 'released') and annoyance that they've been there since 8pm and my call to clampers was now an hour and half ago and they've still not arrived!! Just to give you a brief background - I've been living here a year now and have had consistent problems with other residents and their visitors using my space, even though it is clearly marked with my house number. Anyway long story short, tonight I have had two different cars parked in my space and my sister, who was visiting me had nowhere to park her car. I got completely frustrated and decided to call the number and perhaps put a message out there that enough was enough - however, now that I've done it I'm partly afraid that the owner will knock on my door and shout the odds re the clamp and am currently hiding in the wardrobe. I suppose I'm looking for a little reassurance and sympathy and wonder is my tolerance threshold very low or should I just grow a spine and get on with it?

Take it easy on yourself - those people know they are taking a risk. Screw them. Keep ringing the number every time some fool parks in YOUR space. Irish people dont get the message until they feel some pain.

I feel your pain suger. :) I used to have the same problem when living in an apartment. Visitors to other apartments would sometimes park in my space (which was clearly signed with my number). What made it worse was that it was a very small complex (7 units) so we all knew each other (at least to see). I couldn't understand why my neighbours would not inform their visitors about the parking arrangements.

Can I lock you in the wardrobe and live in your apartment? The errant motorist is doing the same thing to your parking space.
