Are Vodafone online and the Vodafone shops the same? (& phone recommendation please)

Are they same for buying phones and getting connected?

I have an XDA2s which I just don't use. I love it's business & other features but it's just a bit bulky and I need longer battery life for how I work. At the moment I'm using an old Nokia that's extrememly basic but is small and rock solid with long battery life.
Is there anything out there that is a balance between the two?

The online store is usually a tenner cheaper but that's about it. Sometimes the retail shops will have business handsets that the store doesn't, but that's rare enough.

As far as a handset recommendation goes, maybe one of the nokia E series? The E50 or the blackberry pearl are both pretty slick and have more features/abilities than your average handset.

The blackberry 8100 on vodafone's homepage is a nice tade off between size and function
