    What does LLC Boost do?

    Iv'e googled to no effect.

    A menu item on "Antenna setup" in the Fortec Star "BETA" not listed in manual.

    BTW the blind scan on this seems to work OK.

    The menus/GUI seem OK. The Maplin "kit" Fortec Star branded 85cm dish is very like a Triax.

    LLC = local loop connection

    I think old analog satellite Receiver use to have a position for canceling out 4ghz tranmission in the states, it could be some sort of position for a filter/booster ?

    However if you have pleanty of other stuff to do the Blind Search is great. Also FINALLY a receiver I can add extra Satellite positions to without a PC connected.

    On box it claims to be Satcodx compatible, but no mention in manual. I'll connect it to laptop later...

    No mention of Powerscan/Blind Search on the box, so the Maplin guy said it didn't do it. He insisted on opening it and looking at manual.

    I probably could of got something better or cheaper online, but getting it just after work on a Friday when I was going past Maplin anyway was attractive.

    I did however pay 22 Euro extra to have a dish and LNB I don't really need.
