Does anyone have one or know anything about them good or bad? I was offered one as a trade-in the other day and I'm in two minds about it. Any suggestions.....

If you want to take one in, be sure it had all services and it had been maintained at a specialised garage. Check if everything works like it should. Negligence can cost a fortune.
Otherwise they are great cars, very well engineered. They never gained the "true" Porsche Status, ergo they are totaly under valued.
    Good luck,
    Benjamin

That was the car that was meant to end the 911 was'nt it? 17 years in production which must say something for thier qualities.

In the 70's Porsche tried to move on, and build the ultimate driving machine. Big V8 engine in the front, Gearbox in the Rear - perfect weight distribution. The 928's are very comfortable and easy to drive (not like the 911's). But the customer didn't want development, so they went back to the 911 style and engineering. To be honest I'd prefer the 911 body shape anytime...
The GTS was the most powerfull with 350bhp and 5.4 liter engine cap.
It also didn't succeed in taking over the 911 spot because it was too expensive.
