Never played either of the models you're looking at, but I've played a good few, and I own one, and they're the best value for money acoustic guitars out there, in my honest opinion. Mine's a spruce-top dreadnought, with beautiful play and tone, really crisp, sustains well and rings clean and clear. I honestly wouldn't trade it for anything, no matter what, it does exactly what I want in an acoustic, and it only cost me 550, so head to Music Maker in town and try some, you'll love them, and where else are you going to get a hand-built Canadian guitar with fantastic materials for so little? :)

    I'd second the recommendation.
They sound a couple of hundred quid more expensive than they actually are.

The parlour guitar will have a very different sound to the concert body, and you need to see which sound you prefer, so as stated above, go in to music maker and try them out. Don't have to be those exact models, just the same body shapes to give you an idea as to the tonal differences.

Good luck with it, I'm sure you'll be happy with it whichever one you chose, they're a very nice instrument.

I've owned an SP6 for the last 10 years, and it is amazing. I tried several Taylors and Lowdens about two years ago, I thought I needed to upgrade but they couldn't compare, I spent an hour with a Rosewood Folk Pro S&P last week and I'm buying tomorrow. The sound from these guitars is amazing, buy one, you won't regret it.

The vintageburst is just a rebranding of existing models.
