Those shiny things on the road slap bang in the middle of the yellow box on the road are the LUAS Tracks.

You may have heard of it before; It's the big mad looking thing that rang it's bell so much I swore Quasimodo was driving it non stop to Notre Dame station at you that almost took off the side of your car had you not have backed up out of it's tracks (Yes, you actually backed up out of a yellow box at rush hour; bet you would have passed your driving test with that manouver  ). Incidentally, had you looked behind you when you backed up your car, you may have seen another LUAS over your shoulder. Personally, I think it would have been funnier had that one hit your car :D

Seriously, that is exactly what happened today. She stopped in a yellow box and on LUAS tracks; when an outgoing service rang it's bell to get her to move, she eventually kopped on that she was in the way and reversed without looking to stop againg on tracks a yard or so from an incoming LUAS. I secretly wished she had have been walloped by one or other or even both sets as that is how plain f**king stupid that sort of driving ought to be rewarded!

Ring TrafficWatch 1890-205-805 if you noted the car reg. It does work (though some stations are brutal at following up - Fitzgibbon St Gardai are good).

She was probably one of those unmarked, plain clothes, top secret and undercover Garda traffic merchants going to Store Street station for her tea break.
