You can buy it seperately or with some versions of Office. You could go for a free alternative with Open Office.

You can also download PowerPoint viewer for free if you only want to be able to open the files.

    I'll post the inevitible:

You can download OpenOffice, a microsoft office alternative, for free.

It's worth giving openoffice a try before shelling out on MSOffice, but to be honest, Powerpoint is more powerful than it's free alternative.

CBA looking up the prices, but historically, it's very very roughly the same price buy works and then an upgrade to office standard, than it is to buy the full retail versions of excel or powerpoint

If you are a student - check out academic prices, there is also a home and student edition - but check out eligability and terms of use - IIRC you arent allowed to use it for comerical use

www.Micromail.ie - don't seem to list powerpoint separately
Microsoft Office 2007 Standard €415.00 €502.15 (inc VAT)
    Microsoft Office 2007 Standard Upgrade €249.00 €301.29
    Microsoft Works 8.0 CD €45.00 €54.45
confirm that works can be used as a basis for the upgrade first though

Why is it cheaper to upgrade works than buy a standard copy - no idea, it's always been that way !

UK discount prices - free delivery to UK only.

    Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 (PC) - Price: £160.98
    160.98 GBP = 237.073 EUR

    287.48 GBP = 423.368 EUR

You get Spanish and French dictrioneries with the above ( if using outlook express your dictionery may be overwritten with the french version  ) ( add another €100 if you want to spell check in another langague)

In some cases you can buy a new PC with Office OEM on it for less than buying a retail copy of office.

OpenOffice is free, and dictioneries are free, localisations are free, and you don't have to worry about the license, and you get also Draw, which is handy for simple things like organisation charts and other diagrams ( why do powerpoint users like org charts ?? )
