    Hi
I recently posted my anger brought about by Pokerstars technnical problems and how they handled them so badly last weekend

they froze while i was on the final table of a 160 game for ticket to vegas main event and then again on sunday in the warm up 350k event, wasting my chips away to damm all while allowing other players to steal everyones blinds etc

i wrote a stinker of a letter of complaint to stars and released vengence on them with furious anger and intent

    anyhow,

they wrote back and made sincere apologies and aslo reloaded my acc with a nice few squid, talking about valued customer etc.

i hadnt asked for a refund, just ranted on and on at them of how unfair it was on some players while giving an unfair advantage to others

but they refunded me in full and i believe them when they say that it was outside their immediate control and sent a sincere apology (along with the cash) which was nice . they seem to want to do right, so if you have a complaint or are seeing a refund based upon your experiences last weekend when the system crashed / froze, write to them , let them know otherwise how can they make it right

i take back most of what i said about them, even though i was really really miffed and taking into consideration the fact that they are not Irish.

To be fair it's not really a matter of generosity and so on. Stars get a good reputation for that but really they just have good software and good customer support. If you rarely f'uck up you can afford to pay out when you do and avoid bad publicity, and if you have good support you can soothe your angry customers. A network like Tribeca couldn't go giving full refunds and adding 100k to a tourney every time they had network problems because their software was just unreliable. And I'm pretty sure most of the support staff couldn't spell "soothe".

i agree, but at least they had the good sence to do the right thing, i play a fair anmount and since they dont give me any rake-back, its the least they could do to keep me on their site

having said that, there are plenty of sites that talk a good game when it comes to service but when push comes to shove, no real service or support to speak of

my main reason for posting was that i had a fair old gripe at them when i was unhappy, so i thought it only fair to give a little praise when they were fair
